About Us

Zach Mcdowell is a casualwear shop on Rust Avenue in Whangārei, in Northland. Four hooded sweatshirts and four knitted cardigans: the layers you put on at six in the morning and take off at the beach by ten.

What we sell

The sweatshirts are fleece, brushed inside, in full-zip, half-zip, pullover and cropped cuts, all with a proper drawstring and a zip that runs cleanly past the chin. The cardigans are finer: a lace-collar V-neck, a bright-blue cropped crew, a ruffle-collar pointelle and a cape-collar cropped cardigan in black or white. Colours stay plain; the detail is in the collar and the weight.

How the range is chosen

Every zip is run end to end, every drawstring checked for a frayed tip, and the fleece brushed to confirm it has not gone thin. Cardigans are checked for button spacing and for a front panel that hangs level when it is doing nothing up.

Washing and care

Fleece is washed inside out and dried flat so the brushed back stays soft. Cardigans are folded, not hung. Chest measurements on each page are taken flat, not stretched, so you can compare them with a layer you already own.

Buying from us

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days and estimated delivery is 15 business days. Shipping is estimated by distance at checkout. If a parcel is lost, tell us within 7 days of the expected delivery date; if it arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours so we can replace it. Returns are accepted within 30 days on unworn garments with the tags still on.
